“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.”~ Roald Dahl

It seems like the past few weeks have been surrounded by depressing news. The books I’ve read, the shows I’ve watched, items in the news…so much of it has made me want to cry. What happened to the joy? What happened to “happily ever after”? I enjoy this quote because it puts the power of optimism back into my court. When all the world is falling apart, when life looks eternally dark and dreary, I have to remember that I am the cause of my own happiness.
We are the music makers. Music can lift us up. Music speaks to the soul. It brings richness to life. We are the dreamer of dreams. My dreams matter. It is up to me to dream something great. It is up to me to never let that dream go. Dreams are mine. No one can take them. And, when life falls apart around me, I can stand on my dreams and know that I am untouchable. I have hope. I have passion. I have love. What can get me down?
So, enjoy your Monday. Laugh, love, maybe even cry a little. But, remember to dream. Want more quotes? Follow me on Twitter.
